About Us

Why This Space Exists

Our goal is to create a collaborative wellness space in Honolulu where people can train, recover, and heal together. It is a place where movement and restoration are not treated as separate things, but as parts of the same journey.

Working Together

Not Operating in Silos

Point Forward exists to create a collaborative wellness space where movement, bodywork, and martial arts professionals work side by side, not just sharing a space, but sharing insight.

A massage therapist’s discovery about a client’s body becomes information a trainer can use. A trainer’s observation becomes guidance for recovery. Judo’s life skills (balance, safe falling, discipline) are made available to every generation.

Open Mat Cross-Training

Any discipline. Any level. No exclusivity, no loyalty required. Drop in and train alongside practitioners from every background.

Judo as a Life Skill

Toddlers learning to fall safely. Adults building confidence. Elders maintaining balance. Judo as movement for every generation.

Integrated Recovery

Train at Imua Dojo. Recover at Point Forward. Movement and bodywork coordinated, not operating in isolation.

Care That Starts With Listening

At Point Forward, every session begins with understanding how your body feels, how you move, and what you need that day. With more than 17 years of experience serving Oahu, each treatment combines skilled bodywork with thoughtful, personalized care.

The goal is simple: help you feel more comfortable, move more freely, and continue moving forward.

Imua Means to Move Forward

Imua Dojo is an open mat space in Honolulu welcoming practitioners of every background: judo, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, yoga, and any mat-based discipline. No exclusivity. No loyalty required. Just show up and train.

It started with a weekly ladies judo class, and it is building from there.
